Milan in July fills us with delightful dreams of our home away from home. Our favourite restaurants love seeing us again and again. The village-like feel after departing from the hustle and bustle of Paris. And let’s not forget some of our most favourite labels! Stella McCartney, Moncler, Valentino, Ermanno Scervino and Jil Sander.
TRENDS UNCOVERED: Because we’re Happy!
Our new mantra at Le Louvre – one that we have been building for a while now – is the Happy Brand.
Life is too short to surround ourselves with dull, lifeless, draining people. So why should the rule be any different with clothes? At Le Louvre we search for pieces full of joy, dreams and things that make us feel good.
Milan DID NOT disappoint.
OUR RESTAURANT HAUNT: Bebel’s + Il Salumaio
After a long day of orders and having to select and edit from the most desired clothes in the world, our eyes are too tired to peruse menus. We prefer the spots where we know the menu and look forward to these perfect Italian corners to relax and unwind. Our pick? The Puntarella and Carciofi Salads at Bebel’s. Not to be missed!
OUR RETAIL HAUNT: Excelsior
This seven-storey concept store is beyond! Anything you could dream of needing is in Excelsior, only with exceptional style that only the Milanese can achieve. The basement begins with the most glamorous supermarket, rising up to the ground floor are trinkets, jewels, Designer iPhone cases and nic nacs. The next 5 floors provide gloriously edited mens, womens, childrens-wear as well as newly introduced sports including Y-3, Stella McCartney for ADIDAS and too many more to mention. It’s a joy to explore such a well-designed space.
