The Spring/Summer runway collections are what set the tones for the rest of the fashion calendar year. Colours, shapes, silhouettes for 2016 have been decided by the fashion infamous and this year’s Paris Fashion Week did not disappoint. We have dissected, deduced and determined what our edit will look like for SS2016.
There are looks to die for, lust after and invest those hard-earned dollars into. Some new additions exclusive to Le Louvre as well as our favoured front-runners. Here is our 2016 Paris Fashion Week wrap up.
Colour will always be a linking thread for our designers as summer is about celebrating the new sunny season. What we found this year was a desire to combine all colours and electrify the collections with not just one shade, but a rainbow of them. Chloe, Stella McCartney and even the monochromatic mad Saint Laurent jumped on board.
No luxury wardrobe is complete without the element of gold. The root of such a colour symbolising achievement and and triumph. We also love lots of sparkle at Le Louvre and there is no better shade than this glorious colour. Lanvin hit the runway with a beautiful combination of gold and ocelot. No stranger to luxe and fashion deliciousness – we snapped it up!
Pops of colour give brightness to one’s look and Loup Noir has mastered this art. For Summer 2016 they have opted for bi-colour glory in the form of blue + turquoise as well as blue + magenta. In some new silhouettes, we can’t wait to have these in our mits. Lanvin also turned out the most glorious poison green for SS16. One-of-a-kind colour for a one-of-a-kind woman.
