Step into the spotlight Caris and Vanessa! This dynamic duo have been friends of Le Louvre since the very beginning. Georgina always can spot the best and these girls are by definition the masters of organic perfection – and they know a little about wedding flowers too~ We sat down with Caris and Vanessa to pick their creative minds in celebration of their precious new space in Kyneton.
Our “Life at Le Louvre” features are for us to connect with our favourite people, brands and lifestyle icons and share them with our ever-growing fashion audience. Beginning with Miss Wightman and then Georgina Weir we have always been proud to surround ourselves with smart, stylish, clever and quirky people that make life more interesting.
Kyneton, in the verdant uplands of the Macedon Ranges
What do you do…
we curate the Prunella experience: creating captivating floral installations for weddings and events, running Churchill, our boutique event property in the Macedon Ranges, holding floral Master classes and private dinners in our floral studio… it keeps us busy.
What can’t you live without…
feeling inspired by the beauty and style of the changing seasons, and champagne (…of course!).
What comes to mind when you think of Le Louvre…
Georgina’s incredible ability – with just one look – to select the most amazing outfit for you first time, every time!
One piece of advice you always listen to…
”The best accessory is a sense of humour”
We love your organic approach to flower styling, why have you chosen this vision for Prunella?
We are inspired by nature. Letting the flowers do what they do naturally, organically and in abundance is what really makes our hearts sing.
Your new floral studio in Kyneton is just magic, what sorts of mastery will you be doing there?
Over winter we will be conducting botanical and culinary Master Classes, the perfect fusion of flowers and food on a grand scale but in an intimate setting. We will also be hosting private dinners in the studio space with all the trimmings – beautiful wine, delicious food and gorgeous styling and floral of course!
Your favourite flower this season?
Always fragrant, full, beautiful garden roses.
3 guidelines for DEE-vine wedding flowers?
1. Big is always Better – focus on a fabulous feature floral creation that will leave your guests breathless!
2. Fragrance is Fabulous – there is nothing better than entering a room filled with the heady fragrance of a thousand garden roses in bloom
3. Seasonal Splendour – using blooms when in season means they’ll be at their best on the day and, each year, at that time, you will smell the rose, lilac, honeysuckle or gardenia and be instantly transported back to your wedding day!
