Parisienne Natacha Ramsay-Levi continues her reinvention of French fashion house Chloé for the Spring/Summer 2019 runway with a collection she described as “hippie modernism”.
Natacha Ramsay-Levi’s instincts at Chloé led her to Ibiza and Morocco, which has translated into silk scarf print dresses and tailoring cut from raw linen.
Super wearable poncho tops (don’t worry! Not those terrible brown knit versions from the 1970s), beautiful cowl neck draping and fabric that moved and swayed to the insanely cool soundtrack.
The Chloé SS19 runway collection is bohemian, while shot with an air of urban cool. The collection consists of clothes designed for a laissez-faire stroll around the city, a gorgeous brunch or a seriously cool dinner party at home.
Rather than a muddy festival field, that has been relegated deep into your Instagram feed.
This collection hit Chloé’s sweet spot for us and it is everything we love in a signature Chloé collection. Fabulous, feminine prints in willowy silhouettes that are not swampy. Silk twill like you have never felt anywhere else except on a luscious Hermes carré.
The designer, who took creative control of the label in April 2017, was also keen to ensure that this was an offering brimming with commercial appeal. Accordingly, accessories were abundant, spanning XL tasselled earrings to stacked platform sandals. The brand also chose the occasion to unveil a new bag style, stamped with a distinctive “C” logo, which is sure to become a must-have among die-hard Chloé fans, as were the silk logo t-shirts.
